The Abtec Audio Lounge Gets Upgraded!!

The Abtec Audio Lounge has been in full play for four months now so I thought I’d take some time and do a little write up on what has been added to it, during this time it has gone through a couple of changes including getting a full 3D Projector and also two new couches to accommodate more people while we have movies playing.

The upgrade of the Audio Lounge was a interesting one as I personally thought it was all done and finished, but I soon realised that Ashley wasn’t one hundred percent happy with visual side of the room. This became very obvious when a builder was found in the Audio Lounge making a tiered platform so that the people sitting on the rear couch could easily see over the heads of people seated on the front couch.

As soon as the tiered platform was finished two brand new couches arrived to be placed on said platform and instantly you could see a significant change to the dynamics of the room! Soon enough Ashley had the two couches secured to the platforms and you most likely wondering why that would be necessary, but if you have watched a high impact action movie in there you will understand how much the Velodyne 15″ home theatre sub-woofer moves you!

The second and final new addition to the Audio Lounge was the new Panasonic 3D Projector, this took the final experience of watching movies here to a whole new level! Going from demoing movies at 1080p on a 42″ plasma to demoing at 1080p on a 100″ projector is world of difference, so much of a difference that I don’t ever use the TV in the room other than for the morning news now.

The overall sound is still as beautiful as it has been since Ashley built the room but now it is more enhanced by the 3D Projector and the fact we can now fit a lot more people seated to enjoy it. I have spent more than enough company time demoing music and movies to say that I personally enjoy watching movies here more than at Reading Cinemas or at home for the fact, I can also say that playing Xbox here (which I have only done after hours) brings gaming to a level I wish I could experience at home too!

The reaction from the public, salesman and customers a like have all been very positive and I can say we have had an easy two hundred plus people through the room and not one person has not been impressed. Even my wife’s reaction was amusing since she has been asking me constantly when our next movie night will be and this is a question I am asked quite often by a lot of people.

Since the room has been wowing people we have been approached by several companies to hold dealer nights and as prizes of competitions for a certain radio station in the Wellington area too. I’m at the point where I just want carry on typing about this Audio Lounge that I try to demo at least two three times a day, so I will just say if you are in the area make sure you come check it out. Let us know what you think of it and maybe we can help you build your home cinema/theatre to amazing levels and you’d be surprised at how affordable it is!
