When Ashley walked into my office with the Klipsch KMC 1 the first thing I thought was “That Orange is a bit bright for my liking” & “What a cute little toy” soon afterwards my opinion of it changed quite a bit, not because the colour grew on me but because as soon as I had paired my phone with it I realised there was a lot more sound coming out of it for its size!
The Sound Quality out of the Klipsch KMC 1 is astonishing when when compared to the size of it, it could easily fill a small to medium bedroom with ease at its higher volume without the sound breaking up or distorting while still producing beautiful clean crisp high frequencies down to the high 50Hz range of bass frequencies.
The sound is produced via a tiny 2 x 10w RMS Amplifier that powers 2 x 2.5″ Full-Range Speakers and to help out with the lower frequencies are 2 x 3″ Passive Radiators that allows Bass-Range get down to 56Hz, in my opinion that is extremely low for 2.5″ drivers even when 3″ Passive Radiators are used!
The design of the Klipsch KMC 1 is nice and simple to look at, with the addition of coming in six different colours making it more “Retro Looking” if that is the look you are going for. Personally I like the simple Black and White approach but I have always been a bit boring like that, for the more outgoing or younger person you also have a choice of Red, Pink, Orange, Blue and Yellow, making it fit-in or stand-out as much you’d like.
Using the Klipsch KMC 1 is very straight forward, so straight forward that even the youngest members of the family could use it with ease, phone calls can even be answered on the Klipsch KMC 1 via a single touch and I found using it as a hands-free device to be very painless with there being no delay or echo’s as found on some devices.

My overall opinion after using the Klipsch KMC 1 is it is an excellent Portable Wireless Music System (As Klipsch calls it) that sways away from the norm of iDevice Docks, this alone makes me think it will be a more successful product due to not being limited to one make or model device.
The fact that it can be charged, used portable and can still charge your device via USB makes it quite dynamic in its uses. With a 16 Hour battery life (Default Volume) or just under 8 hours (Almost Max Volume) while charging I found the Klipsch KMC 1 to have a very good battery life as most people will not be listening to music for a constant 8 hours at a time.
The Klipsch KMC 1 would make a perfect gift for anybody (Or yourself) that is a music lover and with 6 different colour options there is bound to be one that suits everybody.
