JBL GTO1214 Product Review

The JBL GTO1214 is a really nice sounding 12″ sub-woofer but that is to be expected from a company that has been making speakers for over 60+ years.

The GTO1214 has a nice mix of the sound that you would expect from 10″ and 15″ subs, so it is not a bad option if you like the punch of a 10″ and also the low tones from a 15″ sub.

It has a single voice coil and is a 4 ohm sub-woofer.  The RMS rating is 350w and can handle 1400w at peak.  The sensitivity rating on the GTO1214 is 90 dB making it a little bit higher sensitivity than the 88dB of the JBL GTO1014.

All in all I think this sub-woofer would be a nice addition to any car audio system that you may have.  If you need a dual voice coil version of this sub tho, check out the JBL GTO1214D.
