Focal Releases World’s Most Expensive Speakers

There are many exotic brands in audio, particularly in Hi-Fi. Focal is no exception achieving global status as one of the most recognised brands in both hi-fi and car sound. Their latest offering, “Ultima Kit” is a 2-way active speaker system that will retail for $23,799.00 AUD.

Ultima has been designed and developed from one of Focal’s flagship hi-fi products which retails for more than $175,000.

Focal’s Utopia Be series was the previous flagship in the car audio arena, attracting discerning buyers even at the $4,899 (Kit No.7) asking price.

The kit comprises the same Beryllium tweeters used in the hi-fi system, two 6.5″ woofers and two 8″ subwoofers. There are no crossovers included as the system as it is designed to be installed with active amplification.

According to Focal, the tweeter is unique in that it has a wide bandwidth, playing as low as 500Hz.
