Digital Designs SS4a Product Review

The Digital Designs SS4a 4-Channel Amplifier might be a tiny looking amp but it packs a big punch! With 160w RMS x 4 @ 4 Ohm and 240w RMS x 4 @ 2 Ohm makes it a perfect match the Digital Designs VO Series Tweeters and or Mid-Drivers. You can also push 3-Channel systems too with 480w RMS to the Sub-Woofer and 240w RMS to the Tweeters/Mid-Drivers on the other 2-Channels. When in Bridged Stereo Mode, the SS4a pushes 480w RMS Per Channel too making ideal for a pair of Digital Designs 500 Series Sub-Woofers!

The Digital Designs SS4a is a very powerful 4-Channel Amplifier and when you account for the fact that it is close to the size of an A4 piece of paper makes it even more phenomenal in my opinion.

Usually you can get one of three things when you buy car audio… Cost effective, reliable, powerful & you can only choose two! But in this case (which is very rear) you can have all three! Not only is it cost effective when compared to amplifiers of similar power ratings, it is also very reliable and has more than enough power to push even some of the most extreme Tweeter & Mid-Driver installs!

Overall this is a great 4-Channel Amplifier capable to be used in many different setup and will be one of the amp’s used in my next build!
