Alpine INE-W940E Product Review

For a while now our Showroom has been complete but at the same time lacking or missing something, this something was and is the Alpine INE-W940E.

It made perfect sense, we have everything ranging from entry level Headunits to top of the line Handmade Subwoofers. The only thing we didn’t have was a top of the line Double-Din GPS Headunit and that’s where the Alpine INE-W940E comes into play.

As always the case when it comes to Alpine the Display is nice, simple and easy to use. Navigating through the options was seamless and I never got lost looking for the menu I wanted.

All the functions are navigated through via three buttons: MAP, PHONE, AUDIO and the Touch Screen. The Touch Screen itself is very precise and I had no issues when using it (Usually I have nothing but issues with Touch Screens, not sure if its the bad circulation in my fingers or if Touch Screens just don’t like sausage fingers).

The Sound Quality of the INE-W940E was very nice with speakers running straight off it, in fact most people would very happy with the sound it produces. However when amplifying speakers off the INE-W940E is when it really comes into its own sound wise, this is always the case when playing with high-end Headunits though and is something I would recommend if buying a Headunit of this level!

What can I say, even though the Alpine INE-W940E is priced quite highly I do believe it is worth every cent!

The mapping on the GPS Function is quick to respond and also comes with three years of free mapping updates, also found the nearby function of the GPS to be quite handy with more than enough options/selections.

The Sound is great amplified or non-amplified, the Display is almost perfect and Touchscreen is far the best I have ever used. The only downside is the price! In saying that though I believe I haven’t even used all the functions yet to its full potential and can easily say I want one!
