Alpine CDE-141E Product Review

Alpine has never been know for big changes in the way their products looked so when I first saw the Alpine CDE-141E I wasn’t to sure about it, at first it was like it had lost that old Alpine character but after using it for awhile I realised was for the best as it has made the trusty Alpine Head Unit very easy to use.

The Alpine CDE-141E’s design is slightly different to the norm of Alpine Head Units with its lack of blue-buttons but in saying that it is a nice subtle change and very functional too, after using the Alpine CDE-141E for five minutes I found it very easy to change the source and track without looking at the unit. Which to me is very important as I prefer to be watching the road while driving and not the Head Unit!

The sound of the Alpine CDE-141E’s is quite impressive when you take in that it is in an entry level price point. The 3 Band EQ does it job well and you can tell a big difference in the sound after changing the settings even slightly.

Overall the Alpine CDE-141E is a VERY affordable USB/iPod Head Unit that is easy to use and doesn’t need the Alpine iPod/iPhone Cable that the previous models needed to work with iPod/iPhones, plenty of functions but not to many to confuse the user and has a nice subtle look that would suit most cars.
