It was that time of year again, time for the\u00a0V 4 & Rotary Jamboree Sounds Alive & Extreme Bass Battle\u00a0Sound Off<\/strong>! Just like last year the weather at Manfield Park<\/strong> was flawless but the turnout was even better with twenty three people this time round! Again we had Aaron<\/strong> &\u00a0Deirdere <\/strong>running the show allowing Ashley<\/strong> again to roam around with his camera!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The morning started well… Well I wasn’t there for the setup (A first in the last couple of years) so when I arrived all I had to do was setup the Term-Lab<\/strong> and after a couple of small hiccups we were all ready to start! As I put before we had Twenty Three Competitors<\/strong> this year and if I remember this would make it the biggest Sound Off<\/strong> at a\u00a0V 4 & Rotary Jamboree<\/strong> yet!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There were many highlights at this event, one of my favourites was the fact it didn’t matter where in the complex you were you could hear the Ground Pounding Bass<\/strong> from either Dave Moore’s Commodore<\/strong> or Tom Mangu’s Mirage<\/strong>. At one point fellow competitor Steven<\/strong> came out of the toilets explaining Dave’s Commodore<\/strong> was shaking it so much the lights cut out & I also had a spectator tell me he could hear Tom’s Mirage<\/strong> next to the race track and just had to see it up close!<\/p>\n

Other highlights of the day include numerous personal bests including:<\/p>\n

Peta Williams<\/strong> becoming NZ’s Loudest Woman for 2014<\/strong> with a impressive 150.02dB<\/strong>, which is also very close to her husbands 2014 score, by the way people this is all her own car audio too!<\/p>\n

Kamo\u00a0Eriepa<\/strong> entering the 150dB Club<\/strong> with a 150.45dB<\/strong> on his first time competing in a\u00a0Sounds Alive & Extreme Bass Battle Sound Off<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Jade Coley<\/strong> taking out Kiwi Pro Class<\/strong> with a\u00a0143.10dB<\/strong> beating his dad Matthew Coley<\/strong> who got a 140.45dB<\/strong>. These two both own Honda DC5’s<\/strong> so I’m guessing we will be seeing some good father and son rivalry in the near future here too!<\/p>\n

First timer Steven Gordon<\/strong> managed to get a 139.76dB<\/strong> not only out the Kiwi Class<\/strong> but also making him the loudest in the Kiwi Class<\/strong> for 2014 so far! This in my opinion is an amazing feat and an excellent starting point for anybody starting in dB Drag NZ<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
