{"id":3226,"date":"2013-06-15T14:28:51","date_gmt":"2013-06-15T02:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/?p=3226"},"modified":"2015-06-30T07:13:36","modified_gmt":"2015-06-29T19:13:36","slug":"digital-designs-cm600-mono-block-product-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abtec.co.nz\/blog\/digital-designs-cm600-mono-block-product-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Designs CM600 Mono-Block Product Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/DD_CM600_BK_Discontinued_2013_2014_\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Designs CM600<\/a><\/strong> is <strong>Digital Designs<\/strong>&#8216; entry level <strong>Mono-Block Amplifier<\/strong> and I use the term &#8220;entry level&#8221; loosely, <strong>350w RMS @ 4ohm<\/strong> &amp; <strong>600w RMS @ 2ohm<\/strong> may be entry level for <strong>Digital Designs<\/strong> but for some other (that I will not name due to respect) car audio brands <strong>600w RMS<\/strong> is a monstrous amount of power for their factory made subwoofers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3234\" title=\"CM600_1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As usual with the <strong>Digital Designs<\/strong> amplifiers the <strong>CM600<\/strong> has nice and simple design with the casing which is a good thing in my opinion, the nice and sleek black anodised aluminium casing makes for a good heat-sink as well as looking stealth enough for the most subtle of installs.<\/p>\n<p>Here at <strong>ABTEC<\/strong> we have a <strong>CM600<\/strong> on a comparator board (Sound-Board) with a <strong>SS4a<\/strong> and <strong>SS1b<\/strong> mounted above it and because of this beautifully simple casing design all three of them look like they all belong. This to me is important as when I have an install done I like it to look as clean as possible and allowing the different series amplifiers to have a similar look\/design allows people to make their installs as clean as possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3235\" title=\"CM600_2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/CM600_2-300x260.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With <strong>350w RMS @ 4ohms<\/strong> &amp; <strong>600w RMS @ 2ohms<\/strong> the <strong>CM600<\/strong> is the perfect <strong>Mono-Block<\/strong> to power a <strong>Digital Designs DD-LE-MINI08<\/strong> or even two of them!
