Its not very often you see a company re-run a discontinued product,\u00a0in fact I can’t remember any company in the car audio industry ever doing so. The common trend is to make a new replacement model and never speak of the last model like it never\u00a0existed, Digital Designs<\/a><\/strong> has gone against the grain here and re-released the M4<\/a><\/strong> even after they had released the mighty M4a<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You might be sitting there wondering why they would do so when they have already released its\u00a0successor, well the answer is simple! Digital Designs<\/strong> had so much success with the M4<\/strong> customers keep on demanding it came back into production and being the good sports they are they obliged!<\/p>\n

The reliability of this unit is just astonishing as Ashley ‘MAD BASS’ Burell<\/a><\/strong> has had the one we are currently running in ABTEC1<\/strong> for almost four years and also with numerous amounts of Sub-Woofers and ohm loads on it too! The M4<\/strong> produces a nice clean signal and the power output is more than enough for most set-ups with 3,200w RMS on 1 Ohm @ 12volts and 5,000w RMS on 1 Ohm @ 14volts!<\/p>\n

I have personally had extensive use of the M4<\/strong> over the last 8 months and at times put extreme loads and gain on it at times (1\/2 Ohm’s) with out it ever overheating.<\/p>\n

In fact I have run a 1 x DD-Z18<\/a><\/strong>, 1 x DD- Z12<\/a><\/strong>, 1 x DD-9512<\/a><\/strong>, 1 x DD-3518<\/a><\/strong>, 4 x DD-SW-6.5’s<\/a><\/strong> and the list goes on and on!<\/p>\n

Overall this has to be one of the best amp’s I’ve ever had the chance to work with, second to none with the exception of its big brother the mighty M4a<\/strong> but that is completely different review in itself!<\/p>\n
