We at Abtec NZ are no different in a sense, except we spend\u00a0our time pursuing better SQ (sound quality) and of course bigger SPL (sound pressure levels) . This post is more about the latter&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-101\" title=\"XplodeBox3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"580\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This time round\u00a0it all started when a little Honda CRX in the USA with a Steve Meade Designed box in it did a stunning 150dB with four Sony 10&#8217;s!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/150dB-CRX.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-105\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/150dB-CRX.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0After seeing what four entry level Sony Xplod Sub&#8217;s could achieve, we had to give it a go ourselves. So we had the design sent away to an expert box builder and SPL enthusiast and under a week later we had this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-108\" title=\"XplodeBox1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-107\" title=\"XplodeBox2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abtec.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/XplodeBox2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ok I know some of you going to say, &#8220;How is that <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlinecaraudio.co.nz\/DD_CM1\" target=\"_blank\">DD CM1<\/a><\/strong> amp going to get high numbers out of four 10&#8243; Sub&#8217;s?&#8221; Well, that is why we swapped it out for a incredibly mental <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlinecaraudio.co.nz\/DD_M4\" target=\"_blank\">DD M4<\/a><\/strong> amp. Surely 6100W x 1ch should be enough power!
