A lot of people ask “What does ABTEC Gives You BOOM BOOM! mean?”
Well when I get asked that I would answer with “ABTEC can supply you with all your Car Audio Bass needs”. Be it one 6.5″ subwoofer to give your music that little more depth to the tone or four 18″ subwoofers that make your bones shake!
Ashley Burrell from word go has been “MAD About Bass!” , he was telling me just the other day about when he started in this industry back in 1982 he used to play his music so loud in his “1982 Mitsubishi Sigma GLX Peter Wherrett Edition” that his ears would still be ringing when he was trying to get to sleep.
Just to give you an idea of the set-up he had I’ve asked him to make a list for me and here it is!

Ok, I admit a “brief list” is a understatement but you get the idea.
Ashley isn’t the only person “MAD About Bass!” in the company either, everyone of us at ABTEC have some ongoing SQ (Sound Quality) or SPL (Sound Pressure Levels) projects too and I could go to list all of these but I will leave these for other Blogs.
Not only can we help you achieve your car audio goals online via www.abtec.co.nz but we can also help you via Phone 0800 10 10 81. Or if you prefer the personal touch go down to our Lower Hutt Showroom at 49 Hutt Road, Petone and one of the ABTEC Team there will help you make your car “SOUNDS ALIVE”.
At this point you are most likely wondering what is this “SOUNDS ALIVE” all about. Well, to myself it is all about getting that feeling you get at a concert. To others its a place of enjoyment away from the stresses of everyday life.
Overall it comes down to having a place of happiness in your car be it driving to and from work or long drives around the country!
As a final note I thought I’d leave This here for you all to enjoy. It’s an old Photo shoot but I feel it also shows what can be achieved when a lot of time and effort is put in a car audio system!
